This Privacy Policy covers the treatment of personally identifiable information that Theatre Communications Group (TCG) collects when you join as a member, make a contribution, purchase a product, register for an event or conference, or sign up for any of our mailing lists, listservs, or when you visit tcg.org.
Information Collection and Use
TCG.org will only collect personal information which you knowingly provide by purchasing merchandise or publications, registering for a conference or other event on the site, becoming a TCG member, making a contribution, or some other voluntary action. Information collected includes name, address, phone number, and email address. If you provide personal information, we will use it to respond to your inquiry, answer your question, and fulfill your order as you specify. We may also mail you information about TCG programs, activities, membership and support opportunities, product updates, and special events. We do not use personal information to make automated decisions. From time to time, you may also receive information by mail on opportunities or offers from organizations outside of TCG. If at any time you do not wish to receive information on these opportunities and related offers, simply email info@tcg.org or call (212) 609-5900 x370 to let us know.
We will not provide your email address to anyone outside of TCG without your permission. You may receive information by email about TCG membership, programs, activities, and special events from TCG. You may also opt in to receive emails from TCG . You may also opt in to receive emails from TCG partners, affiliates, and sponsors. When you receive any email, you will always have the option to decline future electronic communication. Stored personal information can be reviewed by visiting your online profile and, at any time, you may also request that your personal information be deleted from our records.
Donor Policy
TCG values and respects its donors’ right to privacy. We utilize donors’ personal information such as names, mailing addresses and email addresses only for purposes of donor engagement or acknowledgement and/or when we have your consent to share the information; we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested; we need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of TCG to provide a product or service to you. TCG does not sell, rent, trade or share its donor list with any other organization and TCG does not send out mailings on behalf of other organizations. TCG takes every reasonable precaution to protect and preserve the confidentiality of all personal information. We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a court order or judicial process served on us.
Public Gift Acknowledgement
TCG is proud to recognize the many individuals who generously support our mission and vision for the American theatre field. Individuals giving above $150.00 qualify for name recognition in the May/June and November issues of American Theatre magazine and our National Conference informational booklet. Supporters are listed alphabetically and with no specific amounts mentioned. You may update how you would like to be recognized at any time, request to be listed as “Anonymous,” or opt out of public recognition by contacting devo@tcg.org.
Secure Ordering Online
Your online credit card transactions are secure with TCG.org. We use Secure Socket Layering (SSL), the industry-standard encryption technology (128-bit encryption) that ensures safe Internet transmission of your personal information. Typically, your browser will provide an indication that you are entering a secure area (e.g. an icon on the browser window; a pop-up message on your monitor or an "https" in the URL indicator on the browser).
