A Day of Action on Friday, August 14!

ARTS SECTOR NEEDS IMMEDIATE RELIEF NOW

While negotiations among U.S. House and Senate leadership and the White House have stalled, key policy leaders are still debating the contents of the next package of relief to our nation's businesses, nonprofit organizations, states, local communities, schools, families, and individuals to address ongoing and long-term challenges related to the current pandemic.

Speak up on FRIDAY to urge immediate action by Congress!

Even amidst bi-partisan support in Congress for a second round of Paycheck Protection Program funding, extending unemployment benefits, new and expanded tax credits, and additional proposals including the Save Our Stages Act and Universal Giving Pandemic Response Act, the negotiating parties are unable to agree even on a top line number for an additional relief package.

The House passed the HEROES Act in May ($3 trillion) and the Senate Republican leadership proposed the HEALS Act in late July ($1 trillion). We need you to lean in with your voice and story once again to urge Congress to act immediately.

Nonprofit arts organizations and individual artists are struggling to make ends meet during the current pandemic and must make immediate decisions about their viability for the remainder of 2020 and beyond. Relief simply can't wait.

Congress can help to get the economy back on track, preserve jobs, as well as help the arts sector address community needs so that all will thrive beyond the pandemic.

Please contact your elected officials THIS FRIDAY to urge immediate action!

Speak up now. By raising your voice by the end of this week, you'll be joining advocates nationwide in urging Congress to take immediate action.
