Do you work at a Black Theatre, Indigenous Theatre, or Theatre of Color (BITOC)? If so, TCG wants to make sure that you’re fully supported in receiving equitable access to the Shuttered Venue Operators Grants and all forms of federal relief. On April 8, the application process for SVOG will launch. Please join us at one of the following three technical assistance sessions, where TCG’s Laurie Baskin, Emilya Cachapero, Elena Chang, Sarah Machiko Haber, and Andrea Nellis will support you in preparing for and navigating the application process:

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is administering the $16.25 billion SVOG program, and they’re holding an Informational Webinar on March 30. Our technical assistance sessions will provide more detailed technical support, ensuring that BITOC are fully prepared for the April 8 launch. Please find more about SVOG here, and more general information about accessing federal relief here, including archived videos of our BITOC-Specific Federal Relief Info Sessions.

Over the past year, TCG has fought hard to ensure theatres and theatre workers are fully supported by all federal relief and recovery funds. Working with our coalition partners, we’ve helped secure the single largest federal investment in the arts since the Federal Theatre Project and WPA. TCG has fought to ensure that all members of our theatre ecology--from freelance workers to theatres of all budget sizes--have access to the recovery funds they need to thrive. Central to that work is ensuring BITOC and BIPOC theatre workers receive equitable access.
