I'm pleased to welcome one of TCG's newest Member Theatres​​, The Public Theater of San Antonio from San Antonio, TX. The Public is co-led by artistic director George Green and managing director Shelly Chance.

Some fun facts about The Public:
  • The Public Theater is San Antonio’s largest professional theater organization and only Equity house
  • It was established in 1912
  • The organization resides in the nation’s oldest municipally built theater, The San Pedro Playhouse, located in one of the oldest parks in the United States, San Pedro Springs Park
  • Apart from San Antonio, there are five other TCG Member Theatres who have "Public Theater(re)" in their name!
