I'm excited to share the launch of our new webinar series, Practices of Inclusion. In my work as the director of the department of equity, diversity, and inclusion here at TCG, I often hear from theatres wanting practical acts to make their work more inclusive right away. Yet too often we move to the what without deeply understanding the why. This can lead to problematic processes and practices that aren't widely understood or supported. In these webinars, we're hoping to share holistic processes that aren't about surface tweaks, but systemic changes toward equity. And I'm thrilled to be working with my friends and colleagues Gus, Devon, and Hannah on this series! Please keep reading for more information on our first webinar, and stay tuned for details on two more to come.

Thursday, January 31st, 2-3:30pm ET

All-gender restrooms play an essential role in creating safe and welcoming spaces for trans and non-binary people. In this webinar, TCG's Elena Chang and Gus Schulenburg will share lessons learned from our implementation of all-gender restrooms at our offices and events. They'll be joined by theatre leaders who've done the same, exploring different approaches to questions like: how do you make the case for all-gender restrooms to your staff, board, and audience? How do the logistics work? How do you center those most impacted each step of the way? Be on the lookout for additional webinars in this series, which will be announced shortly!

Register for all upcoming webinars here. Registration for only the first webinar in the series is currently available.

Cost for TCG Members is $25, and $45 for Non-Members. As part of TCG's commitment to equity, if the cost of this webinar is prohibitive, please contact Hannah Fenlon for more information on waived fees.
