The Delta variant has already upended the reopening processes of theatres as covered in the American Theatre magazine article, "Theatre’s Fall Plans, and the Delta Varian." Not only is Delta significantly more contagious, but breakthrough cases in vaccinated people, while currently small in number, can also spread the virus. How different is Delta from past variants? How can theatres adapt their safety protocols in response? We’ll hear from noted epidemiologists and public health experts on how to weather this next wave, and what might be next in our fight against the pandemic.

Speakers include: Dr. Robert L Murphy, the executive director at the Institute for Global Health and John Philip Phair Professor of Infectious Diseases at the Feinberg School of Medicine; and Dr. Eduardo Sanchez the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Prevention at the American Heart Association, and board member of Dallas Summer Musicals, where he advised on their successful reopening.

This webinar will be recorded. Please send questions that you would like to see addressed on the webinar to Corinna at cschulenburg@tcg.org in advance.
