Arts Philanthropy: What is the funder’s role?

Monday, November 1st at 4PM ET

Click here to RSVP and for more info!

The relationship between arts funders, potential applicants, and current grantees can be complicated. What’s the funder’s role? Is it to only make grants, or is there space to provide nonmonetary support? What are funders considering when deciding how to invest? Join a national panel of arts philanthropy practitioners to hear them discuss their varied roles in support of the arts; tips for building meaningful relationships before, during, and after the grant check; responses to COVID; and hopes for the future.

Led by: Conrhonda E. Baker (she/her/hers), Communications Officer, Howard Gilman Foundation
Panelists: Nikki Estes (she/her), Presenting & Touring Director, South Arts
Ashley Firestone (she/her), Senior Program Officer, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA)
