Advocacy Update: SVOG information

Congress is at the start of a two week recess when Members are at home in the district. Before they left, Congress tried to pass a COVID relief package which provides $10B in funds for vaccines, tests and therapeutic drug treatment which would be offset in part by unobligated SVOG funds (the current draft language would rescind $1.93B from SVOG).  The bill did not make it through the Senate prior to the two week April recess.  SBA has notified us that, with this development, SBA is moving forward with reviewing eligibility for supplemental grants to awardees who have not yet qualified for an award but demonstrate the required sustained revenue loss in quarters 3 and/or 4 in 2021 when compared to corresponding quarters in 2019.

In order to maximize SBA’s ability to process these awards, SBA is notifying grantees that they should complete their “Apply for Reconsideration of your SVOG Award Amount’ Action Item” as soon as possible but no later than 11:59pm ET on April 15, 2022 OR the current expiration of date of their action item, whichever is sooner).

Please note additional Supplemental Awards are subject to availability of funding, and submitting a Reconsideration request does not guarantee an award. Furthermore, if  a grantee receives a Notification of Award (NOA), they should sign and return it as soon as possible.

TCG urges you to finalize your Reconsideration process and sign and return a Notification of Award (NOA) as quickly as possible, if this relates to your theatre.
