As culture makers, we have a special responsibility to challenge oppressive narratives and nourish those of resistance and liberation. That’s why I’m honored to serve on the advisory board of the National Jewish Theater Foundation, and to ask for your participation in the 2019 5th Annual Remembrance Readings to commemorate Yom HaShoah. With anti-Semitic hate crimes on the rise, this work of tending our collective memory is deeply needed.
Remembrance Play Readings is an annual event utilizing the power of theatrical readings to keep the memory and lessons of the Holocaust alive and to honor its victims and survivors. The National Jewish Theater Foundation-Holocaust Theater International Initiative provides a selection of readings for you and your orgaization to choose from, and registration is easy and free.
