Teresa's Weekly Briefing 9/17/21

Dear Colleague,

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! En este mes de celebración y felicidad, esperamos que ustedes exploren y apoyen los teatros Latinos. If you’re looking for ways to celebrate, here are few suggestions, or you can read about Latino Theatre Company’s upcoming virtual festival, Re:Encuentro, which American Theatre spotlighted earlier this year. We hope that this month and throughout the year we can help support and spread the word about the artistry and community building our Lantinx Member Theatres do.

Please mark your calendars for
our reimagined Fall Forum. This year, and into 2022,  we will convene monthly, mostly virtually and with the hope of at least one in-person convening from October to January, to share our collective learnings from the national and global crises of the past two years. You can stay up-to-date on further information about registration, programming, COVID safety plans, and more by clicking here

We also want to share that SVOG Supplemental Notices of Awards will be sent to recipients starting on Wednesday, September 22. Reconsiderations and Supplemental invitations are still in process. It is extremely important for theatres to preserve Q4 of the Employee Retention Tax Credit by contacting your Members of Congress.

Finally, as we here in New York continue to recover from the damage caused by Hurricane Ida, our thoughts are once again with our friends and colleagues on the Gulf Coast as they hunker down for Tropical Depression Nicholas. If you are able, we encourage you to help via Another Gulf’s Just Recovery resources, which include mutual aid and rapid response funds led by Indigenous, Black, and Brown frontline folks; and House of Tulip, which is raising funds for impacted TGNC folx (apply here). Additionally, if you’d like to remain a part of our ongoing climate conversation, please explore our Climate Action Community on the TCG Circle.

Until next week, all my best,
