On Tuesday, March 8, we'll celebrate International Women's Day, and all month long we're honoring Women's History Month. At TCG, we know that our resident theatre movement's history is women's history, and that we owe so much to the generations of our field's founding mothers. Here are some ideas on how you might celebrate the day and month--leave your own ideas in the comments!

Watch the Legacy Leaders of Color Video Project entries for Tisa Chang, Miriam Colón, Muriel Miguel, and Jackie Taylor.
Take action to #StopAsianHate, which disproportionately targets API people who are also marginalized by gender.

On International Women's Day, join with National Indigenous Women's Resource Center to amplify their #BreakTheBias Twitter Storm to lift notable Indigenous women throughout history.
Watch recent TCG convening programming, such as Through A Black Woman’s Lens and Trans, Nonbinary, & Gender Non Conforming Artists: Telling Our Stories.
Perform a monologue from the Kilroys List, Volume Two: 67 Monologues and Scenes by Women and Nonbinary Playwrights.
Host a staff/board discussion about feminism—feel free to use some of the resources from TCG's Anti-Racism Learning & Action space shared below*!
Take action to support TGNC youth, who are facing rising state violence.
Read recent World Theatre Day remarks penned by women (and don't forget World Theatre Day is also this month, on March 27).
Support the leadership, artistry, and well-being of Black Women, Indigenous Women, and Women of Color in our field and beyond.
Act with organizations working to end the epidemic of violence against Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, such as the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women.
Work with organizations like Ring of Keys to hire queer women, transgender, and gender non-conforming artists.
Read American Theatre magazine's special issue, Trans Voice Lead the Way. March is also Trans Visibility Day!
Read American Theatre magazine's #TheatreToo coverage and consider how you're supporting spaces free from sexual harassment and assault, even when it's not front and center in the media.
Finally, please share our resources to access federal relief. Women, and especially BIPOC women, have borne the brunt of pandemic job losses, which is why TCG's been fighting hard for freelance workers to be included in robust unemployment benefits, including the Payroll Protection Program.
