In-Person Scholarships & Subsidies


Scholarships and subsidies were available with a minimum of 51% of support awarded to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), TGNC, and disability communities. The distribution of this support is aligned with our commitment to centering these communities.
In addition, we encourage multigenerational representation and applications from those who are: 30 years old and under, 60 years old and over. 

All applications from applicants who reside beyond 70 miles from The Westin Pittsburgh were due by Friday, April 1st, 2022 (11 PM Eastern Time, 10 PM Central Time, 9 PM Mountain Time, 8 PM Pacific Time, 7 PM Alaska Time, 5 PM Hawaii-Aleutian Time) and are now closed. These applicants will be notified via email by April 15th, 2022.


The deadline was extended for applicants who reside within 70 miles from The Westin Pittsburgh. Applications were due by Friday, April 15th, 2022 at 6pm ET. Applicants will be notified by email by April 30th, 2022.

Please do not register for the conference before hearing about scholarship/subsidy status.

STRUCTURES OF SUPPORT

TCG has a limited amount of funds to provide support in the following categories:

In-person attendees who reside beyond 70 miles from The Westin Pittsburgh may apply for:
  • A Full Scholarship to cover:
    • 100% of the registration fee,
    • 3 nights at the Westin Pittsburgh (excluding taxes and fees),
    • 3 days of conference-provided meals (1 breakfast and 3 lunches),
    • transportation up to $800;
  • A Registration Scholarship to cover 100% of the registration fee;
  • A Registration Subsidy to cover 50% of the registration fee.
In-person attendees who reside within 70 miles from The Westin Pittsburgh may apply for:
  • A Full Scholarship to cover:
    • 100% of the registration fee,
    • 3 days of conference-provided meals (1 breakfast and 3 lunches),
    • transportation up to $250;
  • A Registration Scholarship to cover 100% of the registration fee;
  • A Registration Subsidy to cover 50% of the registration fee.

Virtual Scholarships and Subsidies





We've opened our application for scholarship and subsidies to attend the conference virtually. Support opportunities are for full (100% waived registration) or partial ($50-100 registration fees) registration support. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through June 10, 2022, or until we reach our threshold of available support.

Virtual attendance support is available with a minimum of 51% of support awarded to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), TGNC, and disability communities as well.
