Bio
Devon (she/her/hers) leads the conferences and fieldwide learning team at Theatre Communications Group (TCG). With TCG she has co-produced and helped to curate the programming for seven national conferences all around the country, six Fall Forums on Governance in New York City, and TCG’s two Audience (R)Evolution Convenings in Philly and Kansas City. The fieldwide learning team is also responsible for designing and implementing the majority of TCG’s online learning opportunities, and spearheads the organization’s first Programming Council. Devon’s work with TCG has expanded into a co-leading a gender equity initiative, most notably through the professional development programming her team has developed to address sexual misconduct in theatre. Devon is a Steering Committee member of the Parent-Artist Advocacy League (PAAL) for the Performing Arts, and frequently writes and leads discussions around making the theatre field more parent-friendly. Prior to TCG, Devon was a co-founder, former Producing Director and President of Studio 42, a NYC-based non-profit theatre company from 2000-2015, and worked in business development events in the corporate sector for short time. Devon holds a B.A. from Vassar College and received her M.F.A. in acting from the American Repertory Theater’s (ART) Institute at Harvard University and Moscow Art Theatre; following graduate school she completed an intensive program at NYU on entertainment and events marketing. She has performed off-Broadway in New York, regionally, and internationally.
